We are a salmon conservation non-profit located in the Skeena region, a beautiful and unique pocket of Northwest British Columbia in Canada. At 54,000 km2, about the size of Switzerland, the Skeena Watershed is home to five species of wild Pacific salmon and steelhead trout. The Skeena is a globally significant and diverse salmon watershed and one of North America’s last remaining intact watersheds, yet over $100 billion in industrial projects threaten its future.
SkeenaWild Conservation Trust, formed in 2007, is dedicated to making the Skeena River and nearby coastal communities a global model of sustainability where humans and salmon can thrive together. We are a community united in the defence of wild salmon, guided by science and research.
